I first began seeing Dr. Melvin Heller. Ophthalmologist nearly a decade ago. After his retirement, I continued my eye care with his son, Dr. Chad Heller, Ophthalmologist. Although I no longer live in Queens, New York, and now reside in upstate New York—approximately four hours away by car, each way—I still make the long drive to see him. I have not yet found an ophthalmologist in my area whom I trust as much. Dr. Heller has been an exceptional physician, consistently providing outstanding care and attention to my eyes. He is my eyes’ best friend. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine concern for his patients are deeply appreciated. I feel fortunate to remain under his care despite the distance. In addition, his office staff and technicians are always highly professional, courteous, and cordial, creating a welcoming and reassuring environment for patients. Their efficiency and kindness reflect the high standard of care maintained throughout the practice.

I have been receiving services here for the past 17 years, and the quality has consistently been highly satisfactory. However, the wait times quite long.. Securing an appointment also often requires a lengthy wait. This may be a reflection of the growing number of patient drawn by the high standard of service.

Great attention by all the staff and Dr. Haller, who are bilingual or at least try to always help my mom to understand. They usually do a few sets of tests, and they explain every step of the process. The recent office renovations make the place look amazing and welcoming. We definitely recommend Dr. Haller.
